MEASURE FOR FIT

Measuring for instruments is not an exact science, but we have found a method that seems to work well. If you do find that the size you measure to is not quite right for your student, our rental program offers free exchanges to different sizes.

TO MEASURE FOR BASS: Have your student stand as tall as possible, as if they were standing at attention. Using a tape measure, measure from their full height from the floor to the top of the head. The chart below will tell you the correct size bass based on this measurement. If you find that your student is between sizes it’s preferred to select the smaller size, it’s easier to play an instrument that is just a bit smaller rather than one that is too big.

Jot down or tuck away in your memory the size you have measured for. You will enter the instrument size into your online rental agreement after selecting your preferred payment plan.
